Formed originally in 2017 by singer/songwriter Luke Hawthorn, The Blacknoise Army has officially invaded the Brisbane alternative and hard rock scene in 2020 after being bunkered down perfecting their performance.
After recording and releasing Virus in the Hive in 2019, Luke set out to recruit several like-minded individuals who shared his passion for his particular brand of hard rock. That search ended in early 2020 and the lineup finalised with Simon Pamplin on bass and Adam Anderson on drums.
The Blacknoise Army’s sound has been described as a unique sonic melting pot of 90’s grunge, seasoned with elements of industrial & progressive rock. Hard rock beats and bass-heavy riffs combine perfectly with wild guitar solos and soaring vocals to deliver a rock performance like no other.
“A lot of the lyrics on the first album are based around the theme that all knowledge is good knowledge whether it be dark or light. That knowledge can be used for good or evil, the intent just depends on the person”.
These truths are as vital in art as they are in any other realm, and it is within these redefining themes that Australian Hard Rock / Grunge outfit, The Blacknoise Army explore their unique sound.
